Little bit about myself...

My name is Elena Ralston. I live with my husband, Doug, daughter, Mary and our pets in Buffalo suburbs, New York. I grew up in Minsk, the capital of the Republic of Belarus. I came to the United States with my parents in 1994. Here in the USA I continued my art education and built a family. Currently I am working as a freelance illustrator and an art educator.

My life long hobby has been raising and training dogs. Training dogs is a form of art to me. As long as I remember I have been fascinated by ability of animals, dogs in particular, to understand what is asked from them and perform various tasks in response to stimuli. My first experience in canine sport competition was when I started training my first German Shepherd, Beeshka for the Extreme Canine Sport (Summer Combined Competitions) in 1981. In about a year we became members of the First Belarusian Extreme Canine Sport team and began competing on National level. It was an amazing experience of a true teamwork with my dog and other team members that taught me many valuable lessons and helped me to understand dogs’ behavior on a deeper level.

I have had different breeds of dogs throughout my life, including German Shepherds, Rough Collies, American Cocker Spaniels and Flat Coated Retrievers. Although not all of them were competition dogs they were my well-trained companions and friends. Each of them had different potential and talents. I tailor my training program according to each dog’s personality and abilities to ensure that each dog riches its highest potential.

Our First White Shepherd

After months of grieving over a sudden death of our Flat Coated Retriever, Gracie, it was time to adopt a new puppy. This time we wanted a breed that has a better longevity than Gracie’s breed. Unfortunately, beautiful Flat Coated Retrievers are prone to cancer and have an average lifespan of only 7 years. After a deliberate research we decided on the puppy from Regalwise Kennel. Faith arrived about a week before Christmas of 2007 and won our hearts from the first sight!

Victorious White Shepherds is not a Kennel. It is a Home of connoisseurs of this magnificent breed that we would like to preserve for generations to come. Our dogs are beloved members of our family and live with us at home enjoying our friendship and care. We breed our dogs to pass their beauty and excellent working ability to the new generation.

I am an active member of American White Shepherd Association and United White Shepherd Club. I am also an Advocate for C-WAGS (Canine - Work And Games) and promote an active dogs ownership, training through games that builds a strong and trusting relationship.

Please feel free to browse through our site and enjoy looking at our magnificent dogs and their accomplishments!
